The players have completed the Prolog. All the characters have aged 5 years and have become key members of their clans. Each player needs to come up with a name for their personal clan before the start of the session. For some guidance, see the names of the three clans you encountered during session 5:
Clan Grey Mastiff (clan chieftain Manfreda, who is know for his wily negotiation skills)
Clan Must-Fortune (clan chieftain Invergordon, who is known as a battle brother of the All-Khan)
The Backhand Clan (clan chieftain Magbool, a hulk of a man, who is know to get the job done under any circumstance)
There will be the opportunity to score +2 XPs for the next session, if the player watches Fire & Ice before the start of next session, this is to help set the mood. There was a copy on Jason’s FTP, but I just looked and it is gone. If someone can find it and post it up there, it is worth +1 XP (in addition to the +2 for watching it).
The full respec is going to be postponed until the end of Act 1. Players will retain the ability to untrain at the beginning of each session for the remainder of Act 1.
Royal marriages have been arranged for clan-women of Lorku, Udokul, and Aldirg’s Clans. An alliance has been formed with the Bin-Kallic. They have honored their end of the bargain. Although it is early, the Bin-Kallic births have greatly improved. No still-born, no major deformities, with the occasional cleft-plait, web-toes, and albino-ism. The following spoils have gone to the horde:
|1: They will offer yearly tribute to the horde in the form of preserved food. The horde is able to head for the Great Barrier Mountains, the Bin-Kallic giants deliver large amounts of preserved mushrooms to the horde.
2: They offer a stockpile of legacy tools, equipment, and weapons, all of which are metal. Aldirg and Batuo receive their choice of any 1 weapon, Lorku, Quor, and Udokul get 5PDr/5EDr armor on 4+1d3 body locations and a medium shield, +2 DCV, for the remainder of Act 1. Note: The weapons are not primitive, and the players’ starting combat skill levels are incompatible with these weapons.
3: They will allow select members of the horde access to their holy sites. The All-Khan and some bodyguard get to visit the Bin-Kallic Inter-Sanctum.
4: They have knowledge of the written word and will instruct teachers in the Kallic horde. All players are no longer illiterate.
At the end of each Act, the players will receive a reward and/or complication depending how they interacted with the world. These are the effects granted by the Prolog.
Those players responsible for saving the Bin-Kallic people have earned the title of “Kinsman Redeemer” and gain the following:
