Power Point Limits

Active Cost for things are the maximum they would cost without limitations. For example, in the Cadre Powers, their is a 4d6 Energy Blast (called “Pitch Bomb”), each 1d6 costs 5pts, so it’s Active Cost is 20. Now there are a bunch of limitations on it, so the Real Cost is 1pt. But since it is only costing your character 1pt, why not buy it up to 20d6? The reason for that is Active Cost Limitations. Normally, a Heroic level game will start with 40pt Active Point Limit (where Champions is 60pt Active Point Limit), for our current situation we are going to be at 30pts. So if you wanted to build your own pitch bomb attack, the maximum you could have would be a 6d6 Energy Blast.

You can use things like Strength, Haymakers, Damage Skill Levels, and/or “Pushing” to go over the Active Point Limit, up to double. So you can juice up any attack up to a maximum of 60 Active Points (or a 12d6 Energy Blast)
